On Monday, 23 Maret 2026, at the early hours of the Sirkut Ayrton Senna, Marc Marquez lined up third on the grid behind Marco Bezzecchi and pole sitter Fabio Di Giannantonio.

He surged to second before a tight duel with Diggia for the third spot. In the middle of that fight, Marquez veered, allowing Di Giannantonio to seize the position.

The last five laps saw another battle between Marquez and Diggia, but Di Giannantonio capped the race on the podium, finishing behind Jorge Martin and Bezzecchi.

When reflecting on the close battle, Marquez noted, “Aku tahu kok Diggia sangat dekat di belakangku. Namun, finis keempat lebih baik daripada crash,” he said after securing fourth place in the MotoGP Brasil 2026.
