Pertamina Tinjau IT Manggis, Fokus Keamanan & Stabilitas

On Thursday, 28 Mei 2026, the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina (Persero) visited the Integrated Terminal (IT) Manggis in Karangasem, Bali. The visit, known as a Management Walkthrough, aimed to ensure the availability, distribution, facilities, and stability of energy supplies, especially for Bali and its surrounding areas.

IT Manggis is the largest terminal on the island of Bali. Spanning 17 hectares, it serves as a hub for other terminals across the Nusa Tenggara archipelago. The terminal distributes various fuels: Pertalite, Pertamax, BioSolar, MFO (Marine Fuel Oil), and MDF (Marine Diesel Fuel). From here, products reach 148 service stations, 54 Pertashop outlets, 2 APMS (Agen Premium and Minyak Solar), 2 SPBUN (SPBU Nelayan), SPBU Kompak, and industrial users. LPG is supplied to 16 SPPBE PSO (Public Service Obligation bulk LPG stations), 4 SPPBE NPSO (Non‑Obligation bulk LPG stations), and 2 industrial facilities.

Mochamad Iriawan, the Chief Commissioner and an Independent Commissioner of Pertamina, highlighted that IT Manggis functions as a “mata rantai ketahanan energi.” He stressed the need to keep operations reliable and to pay continuous attention to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment). “HSSE is the license to operate; there is no compromise on worker safety, facility security, or environmental protection. Awareness of safety, emergency response, risk mitigation, and environmental protection must be raised, and all parties must ensure operations are safe, responsive, and sustainable,” he wrote in a statement dated 1 Juni 2026.

During the visit, Iriawan also underscored the importance of facility reliability. He pointed to the construction of Jetty 1, hoping it would increase operational flexibility, improve loading and unloading reliability, speed up energy distribution, reduce queue times and ship delays, strengthen supply resilience, and boost overall operational efficiency at IT Manggis.

He further emphasized the need to strengthen emergency plans and readiness. This includes coordination with maritime stakeholders, ensuring marine facility reliability, and continuously testing emergency response capabilities. “I appreciate the dedication of all officers who keep operations running smoothly and well, build a safety culture, maintain operational discipline through synergy and a sense of ownership. IT Manggis is expected to continue improving operational reliability and become a safe, modern terminal that meets world‑class standards,” he added.

Commissioner Laode Sulaiman also praised Pertamina’s readiness, noting that the company’s stock and distribution capabilities are reliable. He acknowledged that weather poses operational challenges at IT Manggis but believes these have been effectively overcome by the terminal’s officers through various efforts.

The walkthrough was attended by several key figures: Independent Commissioner Condro Kirono, Independent Commissioner Raden Adjeng Sondaryani, Commissioner Nanik S. Deyang, Commissioner Heru Pambudi, Commissioner Laode Sulaiman, and the Director General of Oil and Gas, Ditjen Migas.
